Clean, fresh, comfortable environment. Great staff!! The hushpuppies, fried crawfish, fried pickles, catfish nuggets, cabbage, tomato relish, sweet potato fries, and cornbread is AWESOME!!!!! Go Now, Must Eat! Banana Cake is awesome too!
The fish was well seasoned and cooked well. I ordered my catfish fried extra crispy and it was just perfect to me. Great atmosphere and family vibe. I would definitely return!
Loved this place! Everything I ordered was off menu so be sure you ask! Gumbo was perfect. Salad had fried green tomatoes that were marinated and cooked perfectly. Service was awesome and just take a look at the bar menu...
Best catfish I've had, EVER. And I've eaten a lot of catfish. I thought that I should try something different than what I normally order and ended up trying a special offered on Friday. It had blacked shrimp, fried green tomatoes and fresh greens (the fried green tomatoes are usually served on top of the salad, but I wanted to judge them on their own merit) . It was scrumptious! I will continue to visit for the catfish but the sides are so tasty. Hubby's favorite is the black eyed peas, but I love the cabbage and sweet potatoe. *Special note: if you have to pay for parking, show your receipt to your server and they will give you a discount.
Awesome food and a great place to eat. Highly recommend the blackened catfish! The seasoning was perfect and the fish was very well prepared. Plenty of seating and a really cool decor here as well. Good indoor and outdoor seating options
A great inexpensive restaurant to enjoy a miraculous lunch and/ or dinner. Great services, environment is very clean, slow wait time. Food was ordered online a day ahead and was out and delivered to me curbside. If coming here for the first time I recommend the Shrimp Po Boy and fried fish plate with your order of sides. Sides I enjoyed Cajun cabbage, fries, and fried okra is delicious!!!! Enjoy all
So this is my first restaurant stop in Little Rock. For the appetizer I had the catfish dip. This is served cold but I really think that it would be much better if it were warm or hot. For the entree I had the catfish plate and I chose the mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were just okay but if I'm being honest who really comes to a restaurant like this to have mashed potatoes? The mac and cheese however was a pleasant surprise super creamy and cheesy and I could have had a double order! The catfish was fixed perfectly! Very fluffy, obviously fresh and the breading was amazing with awesome flavor. You don't need any hot sauce or tartar sauce. And like I always say if you have to put that on your fish you should be hit in the head with a tack hammer because something's wrong with the fish if you have to cover it up with sauce. The service was awesome and they are very attentive. The restaurant is clean and has a very relaxed atmosphere.
I really like Soul Fish. They have awesome grilled and fried options. Their fried items are always crispy but not over cooked and are so moist and flavorful. This last visit I tried the blackened salmon, it was fantastic. Their desserts are great as well, my latest visit I tried their banana cake. It is like super soft banana bread with cream cheese frosting. Very very good.
